Da fällt zweierlei auf: Die Erlöse beim CD-Verkauf sind gesunken, gleichzeitig die Einnahmen, die Musiker bei Live-Konzerten erzielen, gestiegen. Bleibt es bei der gegenwärtigen Entwicklung, wird das aus Gigs erlöste Geld im kommenden Jahr erstmals die aus dem Verkauf von Musik stammenden Gewinne übersteigen, zumindest in Großbritannien.
